We celebrated our Pastor and Wife’s 16th Anniversary on Sunday 6/10/2012. And the theme of the service was Joshua 1:9

The Wikipedia definition of Father’s Day is a “secular celebration inaugurated in the early twentieth century to complement Mother’s Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting, and to honor and commemorate father’s and forefathers.” Father’s Day became a national holiday in 1966 when President Lyndon Johnson signed a proclamation declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as the day. Mrs. John Dodd of Washington first proposed the idea in 1909 when she wanted to honor her father, William Smart. So what does the bible say about being a father?
I have been watching a lot of basketball games lately with my family. My son is very passionate about basketball and wants to become a professional one day. I support my son in just about everything he wants to do, but getting a tattoo isn’t one of them…. Basketball players as well as other sports figures, rappers, actors, rock bands, gang members and just about every young person now, has a tattoo. What’s wrong with this picture?

Are you the kind of person that can’t do anything without looking for approval? Do you ask your friends, family, spouse or children what you should do – before you do it? And these questions all seek one thing in common – Approval!
